Winding Roads & Pages, or WRAP, was conceptualized on the beaches of Gokarna one cool evening in December of 2018 by Nikita and Shwetha. We’ve been traveling together for 5 years now, but we’ve traveled independently for much longer. We met in college while pursuing our MBA in Marketing from MICA and realized we shared much of the same interests, which is probably why we became friends, even though we are poles apart.
We have always loved documenting our travels and reviewing the books we read. But, the idea of this blog came to fruition because we were often asked for book suggestions and trip itineraries. What you’ll find on this blog are itineraries, tips, guides, budgeting on the ‘Roads’ side, and a long list of recommendations on the ‘Pages’ side.
Nikita
Much of my childhood was spent in the hills. When I later moved to the cities, I realized how much I loved being closer to the mountains. Getting away from the city is an escape I crave often and I hope I can someday go back to these mountains and call them home. And so when I started earning, I ensured I had a dedicated travel fund. I’m an MBA grad from MICA and I currently work at a FinTech startup as a Product Marketing Manager. Much of my day is spent making decks and excels. But, this passion project will always come first. I click and edit most of the pictures on this blog.
Shwetha
I was born and brought up in Bangalore. I’ve always been bitten by the travel bug, much thanks to my parents who ensured holidays were filled with road trips. I’ve kept that bug alive by religiously planning, saving, and funding my own travels from a young age. I hope to be able to see as much of this world as possible. I’m an MBA grad from MICA and I currently work at a FinTech startup as a Product Growth Manager. Much of my day is spent making decks and excels. But, Nikita holds me accountable and makes sure I find time for this passion project and so, I write most of the articles on this blog.
